you turn your head in dismay, you don't understand what i feel and what i gain out of life Slowly and steadily a husky moved towards the lake. The air was a bit chilly this morning, mist swirled across the lake top. It skimmed across it like iceskaters skimming across ice in the winter. The sun barely peaked out behind the morning clouds. Dew clung to the leaves of trees, as if never wanting to let go. The slight sound of a caw from a crow was to be heard, but not a single whisper, a single splash or a single growl was to be heard. The gray and white husky slowly and steadily moved the water's edge and looked down deep into the lake water. All he saw was a reflection, a reflection that seemed to cry out words unheard by the living. But only for himself. They seemed to scream out, "save us and we shall bring you happiness and light!" But was he too know? All he knew was that his love was dead and his three pups living in his pack. "What have I done to feel this pain? This loss? This agony? I feel somber. I feel tearful."

Miya Do I really belong here?
Leaves crunched underneath muddy white paws. Blue eyes scanned the area cautiously as if an enemy were about to attack. White fur ruffled in the wind as she moved along with swift strides. Miya scented the air and picked up the scent of another dog. She easily identified it as Arco, her leader. Miya swished her tail and spotted a puddle, quickly taking a drink. She looked down into the water to see her father's face. She shook her head, no it was herself, she just looked too much like Kamu. Angrily, she splashed over the puddle and moved on. The pure white husky spotted the gray and white leader. Seeing how somber he was, she padded over to him. "Arco? Whats wrong?" Surprised by her own actions, she backed away a bit and looked over at the lake. Miya was normally shy, especially to her leader, even though they were the same age and pretty much grew up together, she didn't want to embarress herself or be bad luck to anyone like she was to her mother and father.

arco take a step back, what do you see? As lovely as the voice sounded Arco jumped in suprise at the sound of Miya's voice. Turning he looked at his puphood friend. Growing up with Miya had made them close but not as close as Arco had been with Promise. Turning back, he looked at his reflection. "Promise." Was the only word Arco could spit out. He didn't even know if Miya knew who Promise had been and nor did he know if Miya knew whose pups Angel, Fallen and Truman were. Everything seemed so twisted and tangled. Arco looked back at Miya, he knew Miya too well to just see at her in the face. But when he looked past the face he knew she was embarassed. It had been a long time since Arco talked to Miya. It made him feel sad that they hadn't kept in touch for a while. Finally he asked her a questions instead. "What brings you out here?"

Miya Do I really belong here?
The white wolf looked down at her paws, then back up at Arco. "I just wanted to get away from camp." she answered, but didn't meet his eyes. Even though that she grew up with him, his personality had changed throughout the years it was as if she didn't exactly know him. Miya was a shy husky anyway. "You?" she asked quickly when she finally thought of something else to say. She spotted a pebble near the edge of the lake and pushed it over watching it fall into the water and hearing the drooping sound. Water rings formed from where the pebble had landed and sunk. Her sapphire blue eyes stared down at the water. She felt a bit uncomfortable talking to her leader and it was awkward in a strange way.

arco take a step back, what do you see? As much as Arco wanted to tell the truth to Miya, it just seemed utterly a wrong time to explain how much he missed his beloved, dead Promise. He watched pebble sink to the bottom of the lake and he sighed dignitly. "Me? Oh old me... Just came out here to rethink and think about some things that I haven't thought about in such a long time. Its about time I start straightning out my life" Arco growled softly, turning his hazel eyes on Miya and back to his reflection. He could fell small tears forming in his eyes. Arco would feel pathetic to cry in front of one of his own hunters, though being and growing up with Miya it really didn't seem to matter. Or did it? Arco felt like sniffling but he held back and bit the bottom of his lip. Nothing could be more embarassing then telling a female how you feel, usually a strong and wise female would say 'keep your head up Arco. Don't let one of your kind see you sniffling and crying.' Arco sat down and his tail wagged a bit, but then started to flip back an forth on the ground.

Miya Do I really belong here?
The pure white husky could tell that her leader was beggining to cry, for she saw one tear fall from his eyes and hit the water beneath them. "Crying makes you feel a bit better. It helps you let out the emotion." she muttered under her breath. That was a saying someone once told her, but she couldn't remember who. Miya's blue eyes looked past Arco, but then back down at her paws. Her sapphire blue gaze stared down at her snow-white paws as she shuffled them, thinking of what to say. She had nothing. The husky sighed and rose to her paws, only then did she spot a deer nibbling on the grass. "Wanna help me catch it?" she suddenly asked. It was a buck after all, and any dog could die trying to catch it alone.

arco take a step back, what do you see? The scent also hit Arco's nose right after Miya asked. Arco's head lifted and his eyes dried up really quickly. A grin of satisfaction spread across his muzzle and he paused to look at the buck and back at Miya. "I would be honored too." He growled happily eyeing back at the buck. Nothing was more fun then catching a buck with an old friend whom you haven't talked to in such a long time. Arco's ears twitched and his tail wagged slightly. Then he nodded to Miya to start on one side while he got the other. The perculiar scent of excitement washed over the scent of grief Arco had held inside and outside. Then he started to move, he let his eyes drag back to Miya. Something went through him; it felt as if a giant paw swept across his face, waking him up from a nightmare Arco had for so long. Something about Miya's beauty shocked him. Then he shook his head and moved his eyes back on too the buck.

Miya Do I really belong here?
Smiling, Miya jogged on the opposite side of Arco. It was the first hunt she had with him in a long time! Her sapphire gaze was locked onto the buck and nothing else. As she sniffed the air, a small, but foul scent made her snort in disguat. Though she knew what it was. The buck had an infected leg. She looked at Arco, wondering if they should catch it, then break off its leg so not dog ould get sick. The white husky stopped and began to walk slowly as they neared the buck. The fould scent was still the same, adn she realized that it was only a small infection on its hind leg. At least it was an advantage, and will make it a bit easier to catch it.
